Sandra Capra is a Minneapolis based film writer, director and producer. After learning the nuts and bolts of filmmaking with the NYFA at Universal Studios in Studio City, she returned to MN to write, direct, and produce two award winning short films, "Dear Daddy" (Best Director and Best Film 2013, Z-Fest Short Film Competition) and "Carrot Cake" (Voted Audience Favorite at Z-Fest 2014). Sandra's storytelling is inspired by her big Italian family. She endeavors to feature strong female characters in her work, inspired by her own mother, grandmothers, and aunts, and greatly enjoys weaving children into her films.
